This software module is part of the Equipment Commander system with the specific task of providing a project management tool for the delivery of engines. It has been provided as a replacement for the DBSi Engine Project Management software.
The system provides 4 main areas of key functionality as follows:-

  1. Template management
    This includes the process of creating and maintaining templates of projects or engines that can be used or drawn upon when creating new projects. These are definable at many levels depending on the dealership requirements. The templates will include costing.

  2. Quote Management
    This process includes creating a quote for a project for the delivery of and engine and will include all the different tasks and items on the project. A schedule of the activities with budget costing will be provided. Included with the quote will be all technical documentation to accompany the quote. The module will provide a management tool to manage the effective delivery of the quote process to the customer until conversion to a contract.

  3. Task Scheduling and Delivery
    This is the process whereby the project is managed through the entire delivery process, task by task. A scheduling tool is available to assist in this process. Uploads are brought into the system from SAP and DBS to ensure tasks are updated with costs and progress. Work Orders can be initiated in legacy systems from the EPM Commander system.

  4. Financial Analysis
    Budgets, Actual and Forecasts are developed for each task. These are constantly updated as the project progresses through to completion. At any point in time, actual costs and forecast costs can be compared against the budget costs in order to analyze variances. Authority levels control release, credit approval and closing of projects. Direct links to DBS and other software systems allow upload of financial data on a daily basis.
