
Oil Sample Management System
Oil Commander consists of 2 main sections:
Laboratory Information Management system which manages the sample for the printing of the label through the sample registration, testing within the laboratory, interpretation of the sample elements against preset limits to finally issuing or a report to the customer via email or alternative methods.
Customer Viewing Tool which allows the customers of the dealership to view the status of their oil samples, and view the detail, full history in tabular format or graphically. The system also incorporates a message log to manage all communications about each sample result. Actions taken are also recorded in a log enabling tracking of the actions with regard to solving particular problems with a sample. The entire system is configured for exception management using colour coding and is the foundation behind the design of all the other modules within Equipment Commander.

Functionality
Complete Laboratory Management system this includes the following areas:-
- Sample registration including bar code scanning.
- Compartment limits setup for automated evaluation codes. Element limits based on compartment type while Oil characteristics limits based on Oil Type and Grade.
- Auto-interpreter for auto evaluation of results.
- Interpretation screen for further evaluation comments.
- Further testing where test results meet certain levels.
- Direct upload of results from laboratory equipment.
- Emailing or printing of reports to customer. Occurs daily, but can be sent immediately if the sample is urgent.
- Interpretation screen includes opportunity screen for identifying component repair and replacement opportunities.
Customer Viewing Tool includes the following screens
- Sample Details - displays the detail for the compartment, element readings for the particular sample and laboratory comment.
- Full History - displays in tabular format the element readings for all samples for the compartment.
- Graphing - displays the element readings graphically.
- Messaging - provides an email messaging and communications log.
- Action Taken - enables the recording of actions against the sample which is then colour coded to show the status.
- Print Labels - allows the customer to pre-register the samples for the equipment onsite.
- Model Comparison - enables the comparison of different equipment of the same model.
